Based
off all the literature we have read during this semester, it’s only fair that
we eventually stumble upon torture. Zero
Dark Thirty embraces torture pretty openly and make it the forefront in the
movie. However, the ethical bit that somewhat bothered me on a personal level
is the notion of when is torture moral? It seems that when it comes to
protecting the lives of others, such as in the military in Sand Queen, or in this case the CIA, the lines, more often than
not, get blurred for the greater good. Which might have some serious
implications on a persons’ psyche.
