War in the Age of Terrorism

War has changed in the age of terrorism in a variety of ways. The first major change in the age of terrorism is how the enemy is incognito. In past wars, the majority of the time it enemy was clear, the soldiers in a different uniform than your own were the target. In today's war that is not the case. The enemy often disguise themselves as civilians, which adds a factor of ambiguity and makes find the target more unclear to modern soldiers. Since soldiers are not always one hundred percent certain who the enemy is, a number of ethical debates have derived. Controversies of innocent civilians being killed by American troops are constantly discussed by the media. These discussions and controversies did not take place before the age of terrorism in war.
