Cyber Bullets

War on terrorism is impossible. How can anyone know what a terrorist looks like? Or where they are?  I mean, ISIS now lives on the Internet. As if it isn’t enough that physical bullets are flying through the air, now cyber bullets are flying around in the form of tweets and Youtube videos and blogs that persuade people all over the world to join ISIS. An army cannot fight that. Terrorism isn't solid and therefor cannot be destroyed physically. Maybe all we can do is campaign for peace.

  1. War in the age of terrorism seems to take on this invisible form. Yes you are correct that anyone can be a terrorist for example ISIS is a perfect example. These terrorist groups can even communicate with one another through technology without ever really meeting making it close to impossible to even found out who the enemy really is without tons of Intel information. Terrorism seems to be the most secretive form of war. For example 9/11 was a total sneak attack, thought to be an accident at first hand. The fact that terrorism has no face makes it perhaps the most deadly form of war.

  2. One of my professors remarked that by declaring a "war on terror" Bush began a war that by its nature can never end.

  3. Good points, campaigning for peace definitely should be the way forward. Terrorists cannot be defeated entirely, in that it is likely new ones will replace the old.
